
Cancellation of FSIS Directives
As part of the review of all FSIS directives, the Office of Policy and Program Development has identified the following obsolete directives for cancellation, and they will be removed from the FSIS web page:
FSIS Directive 1300.15, Controlled Access to Restricted Areas: This directive is obsolete in light of Department Manual (DM) DM3510-000, USDA Information Technology (IT) Restricted Space, and DM3510-001, Physical Security Standards for Information Technology (IT) Restricted Space. No FSIS supplemental directive is needed.
FSIS Directive 1300.4, Access to Electronic and Information Technology Systems: This directive is obsolete in light of Department Regulation (DR) DR3505-003, Access Control for Information and Information Systems. No FSIS supplemental directive is needed.
FSIS Directive 1300.7, Managing Information Technology (IT) Resources: This directive is obsolete in light of DR3130-008, Definition of Major Information Technology Investments, and DR3130-009, Non-Major Information Technology (IT) Investments. No FSIS supplemental directive is needed.
FSIS Directive 1304.2, Broadband Home Usage Policy: This directive is obsolete in light of DR3300-001-i, Internet and DR4080-811-002, Telework and Remote Work Programs. No FSIS supplemental directive is needed.
FSIS Directive 2650.1, Reports Management Program: This directive is obsolete in light of FSIS Directive 1232.4, Regulations Development and Clearance, because FSIS Directive 2650.1 primarily covered FSIS' information collection responsibilities as required by the Office of Management and Budget when it was the responsibly of FSIS' Office of Management. The Office of Policy and Program Development (OPPD) now has the responsibilities for information collections. FSIS Directive 1232.4 covers OPPD's information collection responsibilities among other responsibilities related to the development of FSIS regulations.
FSIS Directive 4461.1, Transit Benefit Program, this directive is obsolete in light of DR4080-811-04, USDA Commuter Transit Subsidy Benefits Program. No FSIS supplemental directive is needed.
