Arlington, Va.
On Feb. 27-28, FSIS held a break-out session and exhibit booth at the 101st annual Agricultural Outlook Forum. FSIS Deputy Assistant Administrator for the Office of Investigation, Enforcement and Audit Robert Witte moderated the panel discussion, “Food Safety in Modern Supply Chains.” The panel provided perspectives from industry, wholesalers and academia about emerging and converging food safety challenges within modern food supply chains.
Panelists were Family & Consumer Sciences Senior Agent Dr. Shauna Henley of the University of Maryland Extension Service for Baltimore County, Vice President Ashley Eisenbeiser of The Food Industry Association (FMI) and Senior Director of Food Safety and Quality Assurance Shane Sampels of the Sysco Corporation.
FSIS staff greeted visitors at the exhibit booth and answered questions about the FSIS mission and careers.
