- PURPOSE
- FSIS Directive 4410.5, Student Loan Repayment Program for In-Plant Veterinary Medical Officers provided information and instructions for the Student Loan Repayment Program (SLRP) for eligible Veterinary Medical Officers (VMOs). As stated in the directive’s purpose, FSIS plans to issue an FSIS notice annually to announce the application timeframe. Therefore, FSIS is issuing this notice to announce that the Agency will be accepting Fiscal Year (FY) 2023 SLRP applications from February 1, 2023 through February 28, 2023. FSIS will not consider applications received before or after this timeframe. FSIS will make selections and notify all applicants of the status of their applications by March 31, 2023.
- VMOs applying to this program are to ensure that all required documents have been submitted to PHVIncentives@usda.gov within the aforementioned timeframe. FSIS Directive 4410.5, discusses forms that need to be submitted for consideration. Applications will not be reviewed until after the application window has closed. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
