As part of the review of all FSIS directives, the Office of Policy and Program Development has identified the following obsolete directives for cancellation, and they will be removed from the FSIS Webpage:

FSIS Directive 2410.2, Instructions for Requesting Retiree Identification (RID) cards for Field Employees, dated 5/18/11. FSIS no longer provides retirees with RID cards; therefore, the directive is obsolete.

FSIS Directive 4335.1, Merit Promotion Plan, dated 5/6/99. This directive has been superseded by USDA guidance, DR-4030-335-002, Departmental Regulation – Merit Promotion and Internal Placement. Agencies are not allowed to have their own Merit Promotion instructions.
