- PURPOSE
This FSIS Notice announces mandatory Food Defense training that all FSIS employees are to complete no later than December 31, 2023. - BACKGROUND
All FSIS employees are required to complete mandatory Food Defense training. A summary of the current mandatory Food Defense training is:Food Defense – The training provides FSIS personnel with a better understanding on how they impact FSIS’ food defense program and makes them aware of potential threats and vulnerabilities that can impact their personal safety, as well as the safety of FSIS-regulated establishments, products, and operations.
- TRAINING AVAILABILITY AND COMPLETION
- All employees have been enrolled in the mandatory training, and the training has been added to the “My Mandatory Training” section of employees’ AgLearn dashboard. On or around July 10, 2023, employees will receive an email stating that the training has been “assigned” to them in AgLearn with a completion date of December 31, 2023.
NOTE: All FSIS employees are required to take the training, including students, interns, fellows, and contractors. -
The training module is approximately 22 minutes in length. After employees have viewed the training module and completed the 10-question quiz (requires a minimum 70% passing score), the completion date will automatically be indicated in AgLearn.
