This notice informs inspection program personnel (IPP) in poultry products establishments that from April through October 2021, laboratories will include three (3) gel coolant packs in raw poultry rinsate sampling supplies.  Currently, supplies for the rinsate samples include only two gel coolant packs.  This change is an effort to reduce the number of samples that the laboratory receives above the acceptable receipt temperature of 15°C (59°F) during the warmer months.
