- PURPOSE
This notice informs FSIS employee who are travelers of the immediate need to provide and update justifications for any travel in ConcurGov. This notice also informs FSIS employees who are travelers of the immediate need to request an increase of their credit limit on their Government Travel Charge Card (GTCC), if needed. - RESPONSIBILITIES
- Travelers are to provide detailed justification in the Document Detail section of the ConcurGov Authorization as shown in the screenshot below.
- Travelers are to include the following information in the Document Detail section:
- Trip Dates;
- Temporary Duty (TDY) Location;
- Reason for taking the trip. (one sentence; short and concise);
- Description of work to done on the trip. (one sentence; short and concise);
- Explanation of how the work on the trip relates to the mission. (one sentence; short and concise);
- This quote "in compliance with the Executive Order Implementing The President's "Department Of Government Efficiency" Cost Efficiency Initiative dated February 26, 2025;" and
- The conference Name, if there is a conference involved (no acronyms).
- Travelers are required to attach e-mail approval from the appropriate official on the Summary tab of the ConcurGov Authorization as shown in the screenshot below.
- When the Authorization is routed in ConcurGov it is the responsibility of the reviewer and approver to carefully read the Document Detail section in the Authorization and verify that the description is valid and meets the criteria for current allowable mission critical travel and that the attachment showing approval is included.
- Travelers who need an increase of their credit limit on their GTCC, to accommodate approved travel, must send a request via email to FSCGeneral@usda.gov for review and approval. The email should include the cardholder's name, program area, credit limit needed, justification, and increase duration. Travelers must also attach the travel approval email from the appropriate official to their request.
- Travelers are to provide detailed justification in the Document Detail section of the ConcurGov Authorization as shown in the screenshot below.
