- PURPOSE
- FSIS is cancelling FSIS Notice 03-22 and reissuing it to extend the application for student loan repayment program (SLRP) for in-plant Veterinary Medical Offices (VMOs) until February 28, 2022. The instructions in the notice remain the same.
- FSIS Directive 4410.5, Student Loan Repayment Program for In-Plant Veterinary Medical Officers provided information and instructions for the Student Loan Repayment Program (SLRP) for eligible Veterinary Medical Officers (VMOs). As stated in the directive’s purpose, FSIS plans to issue an FSIS notice annually to announce the application timeframe. Therefore, FSIS is issuing this notice to announce that the Agency will be accepting Fiscal Year (FY) 2022 SLRP applications from February 7, 2022 through February 28, 2022. FSIS will not consider applications received before or after this timeframe. FSIS will make selections and notify all applicants of the status of their applications by March 7, 2022.
- VMOs applying to this program are to ensure that all required documents have been submitted to PHVIncentives@usda.gov within the aforementioned timeframe. FSIS Directive 4410.5, discusses forms that need to be submitted for consideration. Applications will not be reviewed until after the application window has closed. FSIS will not consider incomplete applications.
