FSIS to Implement Enhancements to PHIS Import Inspection Module
On Aug. 26, 2018, FSIS will implement enhancements to the Public Health Information System (PHIS) import inspection module. The updates will include enhancements to streamline portions of the import library and increase the efficiency of cargo processing and inspection documentation for FSIS import inspectors. These planned updates will not affect functionality for industry users. The maintenance period will be from Aug. 26, 2018 at 9:00 p.m. ET to Aug. 27, 2018 at 12:00 a.m. ET. The PHIS module will be unavailable during the maintenance period.

- Notice 44-18 - End Of The Year Performance Management Instructions
- Directive 7530.2 Rev. 1 - Verification Activities in Canning Operations that Choose to Follow the Canning Regulations
Export Requirements Updates
The Library of Export Requirements has been updated for products for the following countries:
- Costa Rica
- Dominican Republic
- New Caledonia
- South Africa
- Taiwan
- Western Samoa
