SUMMARY
The National Advisory Committee on Microbiological Criteria for Foods (NACMCF) will hold a public meeting of the full Committee on November 14, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. ET. The NACMCF Secretariat will introduce newly appointed members for the 2023-2025 Committee term and introduce a new charge from FSIS on genomic characterization of pathogens. The Committee will continue working on the response to the Food and Drug Administration’s Cronobacter spp. in Powdered Infant Formula charge. Concurrent subcommittee meetings will be held on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. As well as on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Thursday, November 16, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. ET.
The meetings will be held virtually using Webex. Attendees will be provided details on how to access the meeting upon registration. All attendees must pre-register by November 8, 2023, at https://ems8.intellor.com/?do=register&t=1&p=849304
FSIS requests that those interested in providing public comments at the meeting should indicate this when registering. Comments will be limited to three minutes per speaker. FSIS will do its best to accommodate all registered persons who request to provide verbal comments. The Federal Register notice provides additional meeting details and directions for providing written comments. FSIS will finalize an agenda before the meeting date and post it on the FSIS events page at https://www.fsis.usda.gov/wps/portal/fsis/newsroom/meetings.
