Documentation Requirements
- Obtain FSIS Form 9060-5EP, Egg Products Export Certificate of Wholesomeness.
- For all egg products, the following statements must be provided on a FSIS Letterhead Certificate:
- "A. The egg products were derived from shell eggs:
- from birds that were kept in a county free of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) and Newcastle Disease, as defined by the OIE; and
- that are received in containers and packing or packaging materials free from odors and materials which could contaminate or adulterate the eggs or egg products.
B. The product has been pasteurized or heat treated according to USDA regulations, sufficient to
inactivate the avian influenza viruses and Newcastle disease, as defined by the OIE.
AND - The means of transport, handling, and loading conditions of the products comply with the hygiene requirements of the United States including the necessary precautions to avoid product contamination with Newcastle disease and avian influenza viruses.
- "A. The egg products were derived from shell eggs:
- For all egg products, the following Self-Certification statements must be provided on Company Letterhead and signed by the USDA/APHIS accredited veterinarian:
- The consignment(s) destined to India do not contain beef and beef products in any form.
- The source birds were not fed with feeds containing materials of internal organs, blood meal and tissue of bovine origin.
- U.S. Embassy Shipments
- Obtain FSIS Form 9060-5EP, Egg Products Export Certificate of Wholesomeness.
- These shipments are not required to meet India requirements and FSIS can issue basic export certification only if the following statement is provided in the “Remarks” section of FSIS Form 9060-5EP: “Product Destined to U.S. Embassy”.
Plants Eligible for Export
All FSIS inspected egg product plants are eligible to export to India.
