Export Requirements

- Eligible Products
- Beef and beef products.
- Sheep and goat meat and meat products from animals less than 12 months of age and produced under an AMS EV program. Establishments where non-conforming products are also present are subject to an approved AMS Export Verification (EV) program.
- Meat and meat products legally imported into the United States from
- Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the CARICOM States (see note), Costa Rica, Honduras, the United Kingdom,
- Boneless beef from Nicaragua; and
- Pork and pork products from The Republic of Ireland.
Establishments where non-conforming products are also present are subject to an approved AMS Export Verification (EV) program.
- Canned and boneless meat legally imported into the United States from
- Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the CARICOM States (see note), Costa Rica, Honduras, and the United Kingdom;
- Pork and pork products from The Republic of Ireland.
- Pork and pork products.
- Poultry and poultry products.
Note: The Caribbean Community (CARICOM or CC) is an intergovernmental organization with 15 member states that include:
Antigua and Barbuda, Belize, Dominica, Grenada, Haiti, Montserrat, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, The Bahamas, Barbados, Guyana, Jamaica, Suriname, and Trinidad and Tobago.
- Meat and meat products containing meat derived from an Advanced Meat Recovery (AMR) process.
- Bone-In beef products originating from Nicaragua.
- Meat and meat product from all other countries/territories not listed in the Eligible Products section. *
Certification Requirements - All eligible products must be certified by an FSIS Form 9060-5; Meat and Poultry Export Certificate of Wholesomeness issued through PHIS.
- Beef and beef products: In addition to FSIS Form 9060-5: Meat and Poultry Export Certificate of Wholesomeness, the following statement must be provided on FSIS Form 9060-5B: Meat, Poultry And Egg Products Export Certificate of Wholesomeness Continuation Sheet:

The United States complies with the conditions in the Terrestrial Animal Health Code of the OIE as a country that presents a Negligible Risk for bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE).
NOTE: The export applicant will select the statement above via the PHIS statements module when completing the export application in PHIS. The selected statements will be added by PHIS to FSIS Form 9060-5B.

- For sheep and goat meat and meat products that:
- are derived from animals less than 12 months of age; and
- are slaughtered in and/or processed in approved establishments listed on AMS´ Official Listing of Eligible Suppliers to the USDA EV Program for Cayman Islands; and
- the export applicant certifies that "The product was produced under an Export Verification (EV) Program that certifies products to be derived from animals less than 12 months of age program that was audited and approved by the United States Department of Agriculture´s Agricultural Marketing Service".

In addition to FSIS Form 9060-5: Meat and Poultry Export Certificate of Wholesomeness, the following statement must be provided on FSIS Form 9060-5B; Meat, Poultry And Egg Products Export Certificate of Wholesomeness Continuation Sheet:
The meat was derived from animals less than 12 months of age.NOTE: The export applicant will select the statement above via the PHIS statements module when completing the export application in PHIS. The selected statements will be added by PHIS to FSIS Form 9060-5B.

For meat and meat products imported from Australia, New Zealand, or Canada and exported to the Cayman Islands without further processing in the United States, a copy of the applicable health certificate from the importing country must accompany the product.
In addition to FSIS Form 9060-5; Meat and Poultry Export Certificate of Wholesomeness, the following statement must be provided on FSIS Form 9060-5B; Meat, Poultry And Egg Products Export Certificate of Wholesomeness Continuation Sheet:

The meat or meat product was legally imported into the United States from Australia, New Zealand, or Canada.

- For meat and meat products imported from Australia, New Zealand, or Canada and exported to the Cayman Islands after further processing in the United States, in addition to the FSIS Form 9060-5: Meat and Poultry Export Certificate of Wholesomeness, the following statement must be provided on FSIS Form 9060-5B; Meat, Poultry And Egg Products Export Certificate of Wholesomeness Continuation Sheet:

This product contains meat legally imported into the United States from Australia, New Zealand, or Canada.

- For canned, boneless meat imported into the United States and exported to the Cayman Islands, in addition to the FSIS Form 9060-5: Meat and Poultry Export Certificate of Wholesomeness, the following statement must be provided on FSIS Form 9060-5B; Meat, Poultry And Egg Products Export Certificate of Wholesomeness Continuation Sheet:

The canned meat product was derived from boneless meat that was thoroughly cooked and hermetically sealed and was legally imported into the United States.
NOTE: The export applicant will select the statement above via the PHIS statements module when completing the export application in PHIS. The selected statements will be added by PHIS to FSIS Form 9060-5B.

Meat and meat products intended for personal consumption up to a maximum of 5 kg will be permitted entry without export certification provided the original packaging is intact and the packaging bears the USDA inspection legend.
All Federal authorized plants are eligible to export to the Cayman Islands.
