The guidance provides information about the components of establishment-based food defense plans, including development, implementation of mitigation strategies and protective measures, and review and maintenance. It applies to official establishments and actions they may take to prevent, protect against, mitigate, respond to, and recover from an intentional contamination incident. It relates to 9 CFR Parts 314, 416, and 417.
