This guidance document is a supplemental guide to the FSIS data requirements when an Automated Broker Interface filer (broker or self-filing importer) is using the Automated Commercial Environment System of the Customs and Border Protection to provide PBA Message Set data. This guidance helps firms meet FSIS importation requirements. USDA inspection of imported meat, poultry, and egg products is required by statute at 21 USC 620, 466, and 1046, respectively.
