FSIS Compliance Guideline: HACCP Systems Validation

The guidance provides information about regulatory requirements regarding the validation of the adequacy of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) systems, including requirements for initial validation of a systems plan. It applies to official establishments, especially small and very small establishments, and actions they may take to ensure that their HACCP systems are properly validated. It relates to 9 CFR 417.4.
