The guidance provides information about new FSIS import regulations that eliminate the requirement for a paper copy of the import application for import inspection, clarify prior notification timeframes for import inspection application submissions, and change which product information will assist FSIS in designating reinspection assignments and enforcement strategies for shipments that fail to present for reinspection. It applies to foreign countries and actions they may take to seek and maintain eligibility to export meat, poultry, or egg products to the Unites States.
