
Guidance on the Procedures for Joint FSIS and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Approval of Ingredients and Sources of Radiation Used in the Production of Meat and Poultry Products
The guidance provides information about Agency procedures for determining that ingredients and sources of radiation used in meat and poultry products are safe and suitable. It applies to official establishments and actions they may take when using new food ingredients and sources of radiation or making new use of approved food ingredients and sources of radiation in the manufacture of meat and poultry products. It relates to 9 CFR 424.21.
