
"At Least Equal To" Compliance Guideline for State Meat and Poultry Inspection (MPI) Programs for Laboratory Methods

This guideline document supplements At Least Equal To Guideline for State Meat and Poultry Inspection Programs November 2016. Specifically, it provides additional instruction and recommendations for state MPI programs on product sampling, laboratory methods and quality assurance. It relates to the parts of the FMIA (21 U.S.C. 661(b)) and the PPIA (21 U.S.C. 454 (b)) that authorize FSIS to cooperate with a single State agency and subordinate governmental unit primarily responsible for the coordination of a State MPI program.
