This guidance provides information about new procedures for importers of record to hold shipments of non-intact raw beef, intact products intended for non-intact use, and all ready-to-eat meat and poultry products until they pass testing for foodborne adulterants (Shiga toxin-producing Escherichia coli, Listeria monocytogenes and Salmonella). It applies to official import inspection establishments. It relates to 9 CFR Part 412.1.
