The guidance provides information about the import components of the Public Health Information System, a new FSIS data analytic system, as well as proposed changes to the FSIS regulations to clarify that official import inspection establishments must have written sanitation standard operating procedures before being granted Federal inspection. It applies to official import inspection establishments and actions they may take to meet regulatory requirements when bringing regulated products into the United States. It relates to 9 CFR 304.3(a), 381.22(a), 416.11-17, and Part 327.
