The guidance provides answers to questions the Agency has received from stakeholders regarding FSIS Directive 6100.4 and the verification that official establishments meet regulatory requirements relate to the removal of specific risk materials (SRM). It applies to FSIS inspection program personnel and their verification of control programs, as well as to official establishments and actions they may take to meet SRM control requirements. It relates to 9 CFR 303.1, 310.13, 310.22, 313.15, 318.6, and 471.4.
