This guidance document contains information on how privately-owned small businesses and poultry producers who slaughter or process poultry for human food determine whether their businesses are eligible for exemption from Federal or state inspection. It applies to growers, household consumers, retailers, restaurants, boarding houses, and institutions and the actions they may take to seek exemption from poultry products inspection regulations. It relates to 9 CFR Part 381.
