On April 8, Administrator Paul Kiecker met with FSIS employees at two local establishments. While talking with the team, he discussed all the different avenues FSIS leadership uses to reach inspection personnel in the field, especially those in remote locations. He encouraged employees to take advantage of the information shared during the monthly FSIS Employee Town Halls and in the weekly publication Food for Thought.

On April 9, Administrator Paul Kiecker met with FSIS employees at a local establishment. After hearing everyone’s stories on how they came to work at FSIS and their career path in the agency, he encouraged them to share their stories with others to help encourage people to choose a career protecting public health via FSIS.

On April 11, Administrator Paul Kiecker met at the Merriam Park Public Library with OFO personnel as well as FSIS employees from the Office of Management Human Resources Staff and the Office of Investigation Enforcement and Audit (OIEA). Employees shared their journeys into public service, from those who had been with FSIS for over 35 years to newcomers just starting their first week with the agency. Administrator Kiecker discussed with the group opportunities for individual growth in FSIS, from continuing education to detail opportunities.
