Committee on Cereals, Pulses and Legumes (CCCPL)

The Codex Secretariat has issued a Circular Letter (CL 2017/44-CPL) requesting comments on the Proposed Draft Standard for Quinoa. Codex Executive Committee (CCEXEC)

Strategic Goals:  The Codex Secretariat has issued a Circular Letter (CL 2017/50-EXCEC) requesting comments on the draft set of Strategic Goals and Objectives of the Strategic Plan 2020-2025.  The CL is currently available in English on the Codex Website at the following link: www.fao.org/fao-who-codexalimentarius/circular-letters/en/.   If you are interested in having your comments considered in the U.S. response to this CL, please send your comments to Barbara McNiff of the U.S. Codex Office (barbara.mcniff@fsis.usda.gov ) by May 15, 2017.   Other Countries and Observers should upload comments directly to the Codex Online Commenting System (OCS) https://ocs.codexalimentarius.org/  by May 31, 2017.

Committee on Food Additives (CCFA) 

INS:  The Codex Secretariat has issued a Circular Letter (CL 2017/46-FA) requesting proposals for changes and/or additions to Section 3 of the Class Names and International Numbering System for Food Additives (CAC/GL 36-1989).  The CL is currently available in English, French and Spanish on the Codex Website at the following link: www.fao.org/fao-who-codexalimentarius/circular-letters/en/.   If you are interested in having your comments considered in the U.S. response to this CL, please send your comments to Barbara McNiff of the U.S. Codex Office (barbara.mcniff@fsis.usda.gov ) by August 25, 2017.   Other Countries and Observers should send their comments via their Codex Contact Points to the CCFA Secretariat (ccfa@cfsa.net.cn) with a copy to the Codex Secretariat (codex@fao.org) by September 15, 2017. 

GSFA:  The Codex Secretariat has issued a Circular Letter (CL 2017/47-FA) requesting proposals for new and/or revision of food additive provisions of the GSFA.  The CL is currently available in English on the Codex Website at the following link: www.fao.org/fao-who-codexalimentarius/circular-letters/en/.   If you are interested in having your comments considered in the U.S. response to this CL, please send your comments to Barbara McNiff of the U.S. Codex Office (barbara.mcniff@fsis.usda.gov ) by January 25, 2018.   Other Countries and Observers should send their comments via their Codex Contact Points to the CCFA Secretariat (ccfa@cfsa.net.cn) with a copy to the Codex Secretariat (codex@fao.org) by February 15, 2018.

Committee on Sugars (CCS)
