Export Requirements for Taiwan (Egg Products)

Eligible/Ineligible Product

  1. Eligible
    1. Egg products, except as indicated in the ineligible section B below.
    2. Michigan - egg products produced on or after January 2, 2016 are eligible for export.
    3. Egg products from the following states produced on or after February 22, 2016:  Oregon, Washington, California, Minnesota, Arkansas, Kansas, South Dakota, Montana, North Dakota, Iowa, and Nebraska.
    4. Missouri - egg products produced on or after June 14, 2018.
    5. Indiana - egg products produced on or after September 23, 2016.
    6. Pennsylvania - egg products produced on or after September 28, 2016.
    7. New York - egg products produced on or after October 6, 2016.
    8. New Jersey - egg products produced on or after October 10, 2016.
    9. Tennessee - egg products loaded on board vessel on or before March 5, 2017.
    10. Wisconsin - egg products produced on or after June 3, 2017.
    11. Alabama - egg products produced on or after June 20, 2017.
    12. Kentucky - egg products produced on or after June 20, 2017.
    13. Georgia - egg products produced on or after June 24, 2017.
    14. Idaho - egg products produced on or after July 11, 2017.
    15. Texas - Egg products produced on or after June 6, 2018.
    16. Tennessee - Egg products produced on or after April 19, 2018.
    17. California -  Egg products loaded on board vessel on or before September 8, 2018 unless sourced from the 50km radius ineligible zones 
      1. Shown on the attached map around Los Angeles County loaded on board vessels between August 16, 2018 and September 8, 2018 and around San Bernardino County loaded on board vessels between August 25, 2018 and September 8, 2018. 
      2. Shown on the attached map around Los Angeles County loaded on board vessels on or before July 18, 2018 or August 1, 2018, around San Bernardino County loaded on board vessels on or before May 24, 2018, May 26, 2018, June 20, 2018, June 30, 2018 or August 8, 2018 and around Riverside County loaded on board vessels on or before June 30, 2018, and around Ventura County loaded on board vessels on or before August 15, 2018 (reference map for relevant zone and applicable date).  
    18. Minnesota:
      1. Egg products from Kandiyohi County loaded on board vessel on or before October 20, 2018.

    3. Kentucky - Egg products loaded on board vessel between March 17, 2017 and June 19, 2017.
    4. Georgia - Egg products loaded on board vessel between March 25, 2017 and June 23, 2017.
    5. Idaho - Egg products loaded on board vessel between April 11, 2017 and July 11, 2017.
    6. Missouri - Egg products from the state loaded on board vessel between March 3, 2018 and June 14, 2018.
    7. Texas - Egg products from the state loaded on board vessel between March 7, 2018 and June 6, 2018.
    8. California – Egg products loaded on board vessel on or after September 9, 2018. 
    9. Minnesota:
      1. Egg products from Kandiyohi County loaded on board vessel on or after October 21, 2018.
      2. Egg products from Stearns County loaded on board vessel on or after November 1, 2018.
      3. Egg products from Renville County loaded on board vessel on or after November 14, 2018. *

    Zones with Newcastle disease (ND) outbreaks:
    1. California -  egg products loaded on board vessel on or after September 9, 2018 due to LPAI or unless sourced from the 50km radius ineligible zones

      2. Documentation Requirements

All FSIS export certificates accompanying the product must be signed by a FSIS veterinarian. The veterinary degree (DVM or equivalent) must be indicated after the signature.

  1. Revised Certificate dated 11/8/2018: Exports of egg products to Taiwan will require FSIS Form 9060-5EP and the revised FSIS Letterhead Certificate for Egg Products for Export to Taiwan, dated 11/8/2018 with County level attestations included.

    NOTE:  This reduction in zoning does not apply to the State of California, which is still restricted both for LPAI and the ND confirmation that meets the OIE definition.
