Export Requirements for Trinidad and Tobago

General Information

Trinidad/Tobago requires importers to obtain a valid permit.

Products to be imported must be approved and may not contain mucous membranes, organs, or parts of the genital system/ intestines, (black gut), spleens, udders, lungs, or other animal parts not commonly sold as food.


Eligible/Ineligible Products

  1. Eligible
    1. Poultry and poultry meat products, except as indicated in the Ineligible Section B below.
      1. Giblets cleaned and packed in carcasses or bulk packed are eligible.
    2. Beef and beef products.
    3. Pork and pork products.
    4. Sheep and goat meat and meat products.
    5. Natural casings (beef, sheep, and pork).
  2. Ineligible
    1. Fresh/ frozen poultry meat and poultry meat products derived from birds originating, slaughtered or processed from the areas listed  on or after the specific date below unless heat cooked.
      1. Alabama
        1. Cullman County between March 21, 2017 and August 8, 2017.
        2. Jackson County between March 15, 2017 and June 14, 2017.
        3. Lauderdale County between March 10, 2017 and June 20, 2017.
        4. Madison County between March 10, 2017 and June 19, 2017.
        5. Pickens Country between March 16, 2017and August 2, 2017.
      2. Georgia
        1. Chattooga County between March 25, 2017 and August 11, 2017.
      3. Idaho
        1. Payette County between April 11, 2017 and August 4, 2017.
      4. Kentucky
        1. Christian County between March 17, 2017 and June 16, 2017.
      5. Missouri
        1. Jasper County on or after March 3, 2018.
      6. Tennessee
        1. The State of Tennessee between March 4, 2017 and August 11, 2017.
      7. Texas
        1. Hopkins County on or after March 3, 2018. *
      8. Wisconsin
        1. Barron County, Wisconsin between March 4, 2017 and June 14, 2017.


Documentation

  1. Fresh/frozen meat and meat products - Obtain FSIS Form 9060-5, Meat and Poultry Certificate of Wholesomeness.
  2. For casings from beef, pork and sheep slaughtered in the United States, obtain FSIS Form 9060-7 (08/26/2011), Animal Casings Export Certificate for Countries Requiring Ante-Mortem, Post Mortem and Fit For Human Food Statements.
  3. For beef, pork and sheep casings legally imported into the United States, obtain FSIS Form 9060-18 (08/25/2011), Animal Casings Export Certificate for Countries Requiring Ante-Mortem, Post Mortem, and Sound and Clean Statements.
  4. Fresh/frozen poultry and poultry products - Obtain FSIS Form 9060-5, Meat and Poultry Certificate of Wholesomeness.


Plants Eligible to Export

All Federally inspected establishments are eligible to export to Trinidad/Tobago.
