Export Requirements for Benin

Eligible/Ineligible Products

  1. Eligible Products
    1. Poultry and poultry products except as indicated under ineligible below.
    2. All U.S. beef and beef products are eligible for export to Benin.
  2. Ineligible Products
    1. Poultry and poultry products derived from birds originating from the State of Tennessee slaughtered on or after March 4, 2017 and prior to September 1, 2017 are ineligible.*


Documentation Requirements

Obtain FSIS Form 9060-5, “Meat and Poultry Export Certificate of Wholesomeness”.

The following statements must be added to FSIS Form 9060-5:

    1. The entire consignment of meat comes from poultry;
      1. which have been kept in a State (name of state) free from infection with high pathogenicity avian influenza viruses in poultry since they were hatched or for at least the past 21 days;
      2. which have been slaughtered in an approved abattoir in a State (name of state) free from infection with high pathogenicity avian influenza viruses in poultry and have been subjected to ante- and post-mortem inspections and have been found free of any signs suggestive of avian influenza.


Plants Eligible to Export

All federally inspected establishments are eligible to export to Benin.
