Codex Committee on Nutrition and Foods for Special Dietary Uses

The Committee on Nutrition and Foods for Special Dietary Uses (CCNFSDU) is responsible for studying nutritional problems referred by the Codex Alimentarius Commission. The committee also drafts provisions on nutritional aspects for all foods and develops guidelines, general principles, and standards for foods for special dietary uses.
Standards for Food for Special Dietary Uses which have been adopted by the Codex Alimentarius Commission can be found on the Codex Alimentarius website at http://www.codexalimentarius.org/standards/en/.
The 33rd Session of CCNSFDU will be held November 14-18, 2011, in Bad Soden am Taunus, Germany.
The Committee will continue work on:
- Proposed Draft Additional or Revised Nutrient Reference Values for Labeling Purposes in the Codex Guidelines on Nutrition Labeling
- Proposed Draft Revision of the Codex General Principles for the Addition of Essential Nutrients to Foods
- Proposed Draft Revision of the Guidelines on Formulated Supplementary Foods for Older Infants and Young Children
- Proposed Draft Amendment of the Standard for Processed Cereal-Based Foods for Infants and Young Children to Include a New Part B for Underweight Children
