Codex Committee on Nutrition and Foods for Special Dietary Uses

Host Government: Germany

The Committee on Nutrition and Foods for Special Dietary Uses (CCNFSDU) is responsible for studying nutritional problems referred by the Codex Alimentarius Commission. The committee also drafts provisions on nutritional aspects for all foods and develops guidelines, general principles, and standards for foods for special dietary uses.

Standards for Food for Special Dietary Uses which have been adopted by the Codex Alimentarius Commission can be found on the Codex Alimentarius website at http://www.codexalimentarius.org/standards/en/.

The Committee held its 36th Session in Bali, Indonesia from November 24-28, 2014.  The U.S. Delegate’s Report of that Session is available.

The next session of the Codex Committee on Nutrition and Foods for Special Dietary Uses will take place in Bad Soden am Taunus, Germany from November 23-27, 2015. Upon availability, the agenda and committee documents can be accessed at  http://www.codexalimentarius.org/meetings-reports/en.
