Codex Committee on Natural Mineral Waters
Host Government: Switzerland
The Codex Committee for Natural Mineral Waters is responsible for elaborating standards for all types of mineral water products. The Committee was reactivated by the 30th Session of the Codex Alimentarius Commission to address discrepancies between the health-related limits for certain substances in the Codex Standard and the current version of the WHO guideline values for chemicals of health significance in drinking water.
The Committee noted that it had completed the work assigned to it by the 30th Session of the Commission, therefore the next session was not foreseen, subject to the final decision by the Codex Alimentarius Commission.
