Codex Committee on Fats and Oils

The Codex Committee on Fats and Oils is responsible for elaborating standards for fats and oils of animal, vegetable, and marine origin including margarine and olive oil.
Fat and Oil standards adopted by the Codex Alimentarius Commission are located in Volume 8 of the Codex Alimentarius, Fats and Oils and Related Products.
The committee held its 23rd Session in Langkawi, Malaysia February 25-March 1, 2013. The U.S. Delegate’s Report of that Session is available.
