Philippines Initial Equivalence Status

Status of Document Review:
  • On November 30, 2002, December 13, 2007, and November 26, 2008, FSIS sent an initial equivalence package to the country.
  • On May 13, 2011, FSIS sent an updated version of their initial equivalence package to the Philippines.

FSIS Follow-up to Country:
  • On February 21, 2011, the Philippines expressed an interest to FSIS that the country is still interested in pursuing their initial equivalence request.
  • Currently, FSIS is working with the Philippines to complete their initial equivalence request for meat products.
