Eligible/Ineligible Products*
Neither edible nor inedible products for export may contain products or by-products of pig, hog, boar or swine.
Labeling Requirements*
The bulk as well as the consumer packs of processed food items shall be inscribed with the date of manufacture and the date of expiration.
Documentation Requirements*
- Ritual slaughter
Certificates must contain the statement: "The poultry covered by this certificate was slaughtered by means of a sharp knife cutting through the skin, jugular vein, and trachea to result in thorough bleeding out of the carcass in preparation for dressing and evisceration." - Special Statements
Both edible and inedible products for export must conform to the following requirements:- The letter of credit shall incorporate the condition that export items shall not contain products or by-products of pig, hog, boar, or swine; and
- At the time of clearance, the exporter shall submit, before Custom authorities, a certificate from the supplier that the imported consignment does not contain products or by-products of pig, hog, boar or swine.
