Products Harmonized by the European
Fresh/frozen red meat and poultry, meat and poultry products, game meat, products for pet food manufacture and pharmaceutical processing, and certain other products intended for export to countries which are members of the European Union must follow the " European Union Requirements" found elsewhere in the FSIS Export Library. The following countries are members of the European Union: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and the United Kingdom.
Products Not Harmonized by the European Union*
EXPO Milano 2015*
Italy will host the universal exhibition named ‘EXPO Milano 2015’ which will take place in Milan from 1 May to 31 October 2015.
Requirements for the products destined to the exhibition site of EXPO Milano 2015*
- The U.S. will authorize the export of consignments of meat, poultry and egg products, from 1 March 2015 to 31 October 2015, only if product is packaged in sealed containers or packages that do not allow any leakage of the content and are marked with the words ‘for exclusive destination EXPO Milano 2015’ in red and white and in a readable size proportionate to the dimension of those containers or packages
- The products must accompany the 9060-5 certificate along with the appropriate EU transit certificate as well as the attached certificate.
All animal health restriction listed in the Ineligible section of the EU apply to export of product to EXPO Milano 2015.
