USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) is announcing a series of educational meetings to discuss the Final Rule on the mandatory inspection of fish of the order Siluriformes and products derived from such fish. The rule becomes effective on March 1, 2016.
Meetings open for all stakeholders:
- Washington, DC: January 21, 2016, from 1:00 p.m.–4:00 p.m. ET. Patriots Plaza III, Main Floor Auditorium, 355 E Street, SW., Washington, DC, 20024. All persons wishing to attend are encouraged to register in advance and allocate extra time to get through security screening.
- Stoneville, MS: January 27, 2016, from 1:00 p.m.–4:00 p.m. CT. Charles W. Capps Jr. Entrepreneurial Center, Delta Research and Extension Center, Mississippi State University, 82 Stoneville Road, Stoneville, MS 38776. All persons wishing to attend are encouraged to register in advance and allocate extra time to get through security screening.
FSIS will announce the locations and dates of additional meetings in the coming weeks.
