Codex Executive Committee (CCEXEC)
CCEXEC acts as the Executive organ of the Commission between sessions and serves as the standards management body.

Subsidiary Bodies: Committees & Task Forces
Codex committees prepare draft Standards, Codes of Practice, and Guidelines for adoption by the Codex Alimentarius Commission.
U.S. Codex Structure
The United States participates fully in Codex activities.
  • U.S. Codex Office - coordinates U.S. Codex activities.
  • U.S. Codex Steering Committees - Officials from the Departments of Agriculture, Health and Human Services, State, and Commerce, the Environmental Protection Agency, and the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative participate.
  • U.S. Delegates - Contact information for current U.S. delegates to Codex meetings.
  • U.S. Committee Chairs - The U.S. hosts the Codex Committees on Food Hygiene, Veterinary Drugs in Foods, Processed Fruits and Vegetables, and Cereals, Pulses and Legumes.
