Eligible/Ineligible Products
- Eligible Product
- Fresh/frozen poultry and poultry products.
Note: Heat treated products from the state of Arkansas remain eligible
(see restriction below).
- Ineligible Product
- The restrictions on fresh/frozen poultry raised or processed in the States of Delaware, Maryland, and
Texas have been removed.
- Fresh/Frozen poultry meat derived from birds
raised on Rose Farm, Goldsboro, North
Carolina, and slaughtered prior to May 3,
2008, and on or after November 1, 2008, is
eligible. Fresh/Frozen poultry meat derived
from birds raised on Rose Farm, Goldsboro,
North Carolina and slaughtered on or after May
3, 2008, and prior to November 1, 2008, is
ineligible.
- Fresh/Frozen poultry meat derived from birds
raised and slaughtered from Arkansas certified and
shipped prior to August 20, 2008 and on or after
October 7, 2008 is eligible. Fresh/frozen poultry
meat from Arkansas derived from birds raised and
shipped on or after August 20, 2008 and before
October 7, 2008 is not eligible for export.
- Fresh/Frozen poultry meat derived from birds raised and slaughtered from Idaho certified and shipped prior to August 20, 2008 and on or after February 10, 2009 is eligible. Fresh/frozen poultry meat from Idaho derived from birds raised and shipped on or after August 20, 2008 and before February 10, 2009 is not eligible for export.
- Fresh/Frozen and heat-treated pork and pork
products from swine slaughtered/packaged in
the States of Texas, California and Kansas on
or after April 27, 2009, and prior to October 19, 2009, are ineligible.

Certification Requirements
- For poultry and poultry products
- Obtain FSIS Form 9060-5 (04/23/2002), Export Certificate of Wholesomeness
- Obtain FSIS Form 9462-1 (05/23/2003), Veterinary Certificate for Poultry
Meat Exported to Kazakhstan
- Signature on certificatesAll certificates must be signed by an FSIS
veterinarian: name and degree (DVM or equivalent) must be typed or printed
after the signature.
Plants Eligible to Export
All federally inspected poultry establishments are eligible to export to Kazakhstan.
