Selecting and Maintaining Effective GMPs for an Effective Food Safety System - November 5, 2009
Mr. Robert Savage

Mr. Savage is currently the President of the HACCP Consulting Group (HCG), based in Fairfax, VA. Bob joined HCG in 1996 after 18 years with the Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS), where he had a significant role in the development and implementation of the FSIS HACCP/Pathogen Reduction regulations. Prior to FSIS, Bob was with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) from 1973-1978 and the Great Atlantic and Pacific Tea Company (A&P) from 1969-1973. Throughout his career, Bob has worked extensively with the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of current GMPs and SPSs, which serve as the foundation for a plant's effective food safety system.
