Codex Committee on Sugars Host Government: Colombia
The Codex Committee on Sugars elaborates standards for all types of sugars and sugar products. The committee had been adjourned sine die, however was reactived at the 34th Session of the Codex Alimentarius Commission (July 2011) with the establishment of an electronic Working Group to develop a Codex Standard for Panela.
Sugar Standards adopted by the Codex Alimentarius Commission are located in Volume 11 of the
Codex Alimentarius, Sugars, Cocoa Products and Chocolate, and Miscellaneous Products.
