UPDATING PLANT SPECIFIC INSPECTION SYSTEM
PROCEDURES (ISP) FOR HOMELAND SECURITY PROCEDURES
This notice informs inspection program personnel that they are to update their plant specific
ISP to include the new codes 08S03 through 08S13 that were issued in
FSIS Directive 5420.1, Revision 1,
Homeland Security Threat Condition Response – Food Security Verification Procedures. The old procedure
08S01 is retired. Inspection program personnel are to begin performing and recording the performance
of the new procedures in the Performance Based Inspection System (PBIS) as set out in FSIS Directive 5420.1, Revision 1.
NOTE: The current threat condition is Elevated
(Yellow). Therefore, ALL inspection program personnel
are to follow the instructions in Section VII. A. of FSIS
Directive 5420.1, Revision 1.
