Eligible/Ineligible Products

- Red Meat and poultry products.
- Beef and beef products, including offal,
derived from cattle less than 30 months of age
produced under an approved AMS Export

the Dominican Republic and a list of LT30
approved establishments can be obtained from AMS' Web site.
If FSIS inspection personnel become aware of
concerns that an AMS approved LT30 establishment
is not properly executing its Quality Control
Program, export certification should not be
issued for the product in question and AMS
should be notified at
ARCBranch@usda.gov.
Inspection personnel should include their
immediate supervisor on messages to AMS. The
following information should be included in the
message:
- Establishment name, address, and establishment number
- Product type, product code, and quantity of product
- Date of production, lot number, and shift
- Date and nature of observation
- Name of country product is intended for export
- Export certificate number (if applicable)
- Any other information to verify claim

- Veal and veal products are not subject to
the LT30 program.

Note: Obtaining a visa for the 9060-5 from the Dominican Republic
consul is no longer required.*
- Special Statement: Poultry - Official certification is required in the "Remarks" section
of FSIS Form 9060-5 stating that: "The product is Grade "B" or better".
This special statement is not required for poultry parts, ground poultry, or mechanically separated poultry.
- Special Statements: Beef (including veal) - The following certification statements must be
included in the "Remarks" section of FSIS Form 9060-5
or on a FSIS Letterhead Certificate:
- "The animals from which the product was
obtained were slaughtered at a USDA inspected establishment.
- The meat product was derived from cattle
less than thirty (30) months of age.
- The meat product does not include advanced
recovery meat or mechanically deboned beef.
- The meat product complies with all FSIS
regulations, including HACCP and SSOP requirements."
Note: Effective December 11, 2006, a
Statement of Verification letter from AMS is no longer
required to sign the FSIS export certificate. AMS will
no longer issue the letter for Dominican Republic as of
that date. All other EV program requirements for
Dominican Republic remain in effect.
Plants Eligible to Export
All USDA federally inspected plants are eligible to export to the Dominican Republic. However, beef products must originate from AMS EV approved establishments.
