Coordinating Committee for the Near East
The Coordinating Committee is responsible for defining problems and needs concerning food standards and food control of all Codex member countries of the region. Host government rotates among the committee members.

Tunisia will host the FAO/WHO Coordinating Committee for the Near East tentatively scheduled for January 26-29, 2009 in Tunisia.
Codex members in the the Near East Region include:
