Coordinating Committee for North America and the South West Pacific

The Coordinating Committee (CCNASWP) is responsible for defining problems and needs concerning food standards and food control of all Codex member countries of the region. Host government rotates among the committee members.

Tonga will host the FAO/WHO Coordinating Committee for North America and the South West Pacific tentatively scheduled for October 27-30, 2008 in Tonga.

At its next session, the Committee will discuss:

Report of the Electronic Working Group on Objective 6 of the Strategic Plan for CCNASWP
Draft new Strategic Plan for CCNASWP
Discussion Paper on the Development of a Standard for Kava
Discussion Paper on the Development of a Standard for Nonu (Noni) Products
