This notice announces that the electronic Animal Disposition Reporting System (eADRS) will replace the current use of FSIS forms to report information about animals presented to slaughter. This notice also announces that eADRS will be used to report information regarding humane handling activities.
The information in ADRS is used to track the number of animals slaughtered annually in the U.S., and to provide valuable information concerning animal dispositions in the U.S. Previously, this information has been sent by the Inspector-in-Charge (IIC) on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly basis on forms provided by the Agency and mailed to the data center in Urbandale, IA.
The reporting of information regarding humane handling activities will provide information on the amount of time veterinarians and non-veterinary personnel spend performing daily activities (as described in FSIS Directive 6900.1 and 6900.2) related to the verification of humane handling conditions at an establishment.
Effective February 1, 2004, the new eADRS system replaces the following forms:
FSIS Form 6200-10, Ante Mortem and Post Mortem Inspection Summary (Cattle)
FSIS Form 6200-11, Ante Mortem and Post Mortem Inspection Summary (Swine)
FSIS Form 6200-12, Ante Mortem and Post Mortem Inspection Summary (Sheep & Goats)
FSIS Form 6200-13, Ante Mortem and Post Mortem Inspection Summary (Equine)
FSIS Form 6200-15, Ante Mortem and Post Mortem Inspection Summary (Calves)
FSIS Form 6000-21, Poultry Inspection – Daily Summary
NASS Form LS-149, Weekly Livestock Slaughter Report
Inspection program personnel are to disregard the instructions in FSIS Directive 6200.1, Preparation and Submission of FSIS Form 6200 Series, except for the following forms, which will remain in use:
FSIS Form 6200-14, Daily Disposition Record
FSIS Form 6000-16, Poultry Inspection – Lot Tally Sheet
The eADRS application software is included in the latest Windows Menu and Application Update, which will be available for downloading on February 3, 2004. Follow the steps below to download the update:

- Once the download begins, a message box will display the status of the operation.
- After the files are extracted to your hard drive, a confirmation message will be sent automatically to the server acknowledging that the download was performed.
It is important that the IIC
ensures that all PBIS profile data are accurate, so that the database can
retrieve the appropriate information for the establishment.
The IIC is to verify that daily
totals for ante mortem and post mortem activities are recorded by inspection
program personnel on a timely basis into the eADRS system. The information
should accurately represent the activities performed, animals received, and
Inspection program personnel will report into eADRS information about humane handling activities that provides estimates of the time taken to perform the humane handling verification activities performed under the 04C02 Inspection System Procedure code.
For assistance with the technical aspects of using eADRS on the computer, please call FAIMHELP at 1-800-473-9135.
