Denise Wilson
Secretary

Born in Washington D.C., Denise Wilson studied several formal courses in Computer Science at the University of Maryland. She joined the federal government in 1989 as a summer intern for the Foreign Agricultural Service, (FAS), USDA. Ms. Wilson became a permanent employee in FAS in 1990. Ms. Wilson gained and applied a wide array of knowledge in office management while serving as an Administrative Assistant in the Oilseeds and Products Division, the Tobacco, Cotton, and Oilseeds Division, and the Dairy, Livestock, and Poultry Division. After receiving a promotion to an Office Manager, Ms. Wilson joined the Food Safety and Inspection Service, (FSIS), USDA in 2000. She is currently the Office Manager of the Animal and Egg Production Food Safety Staff (AEPFSS), FSIS.

Ms. Wilson is a member of the Professional Organization of Secretaries and Administrative Assistants. She has served on several committees in FAS including Chair of the FAS annual holiday party. Ms. Wilson has received numerous employee recognition awards, several time-off awards, and several spot awards, and received an award for outstanding performance in 1991, 1996, and 1997. Ms. Wilson continues to update her skills by attending Agency training courses and seminars.
