The package label bears ''EST 8997'' in the USDA inspection legend. The product is vacuum packed 8 links to a package, and averages 3/4 pound each.
Problem/Reason for Recall: The product may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.
How/When Discovered: An FSIS monitoring sample collected on September 26, 2000, and reported positive on October 4, 2000.
