Production Dates/Identifying Codes: The Franks are packaged in one pound packages and can be identified by ''EST 8782'' in the UDSA seal of inspection and a code of ''4 sell by Oct. 17''.
Problem/Reason for Recall: Possible contamination with small metal particles.
How/When Discovered: The recall is in response to a consumer complaint of finding metal particles in cheese franks. The FSIS Midwest Laboratory confirmed that the product was contaminated with very small particles of a non-ferrous metal.
