Problem/Reason for Recall: Possible contamination with Escherichia coli O157:H7.
How/When Discovered: On August 7, 2000 a positive result for Escherichia coli O157:H7 was reported on a sample collected on August 1, 2000 by a Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) compliance officer as a traceback subsequent to a positive finding for Escherichia coli O157:H7 reported on August 1, 2000, in product further processed domestically from that source material.
