The ground beef products were produced on July 19, 2000, and packaged in 10-pound packages (chubs). The packages are marked with "Est. 1311" inside the USDA mark of inspection, the production code "07/19/00" and were shipped in boxes weighing 40-60 pounds.

Problem/Reason for Recall: Possible Escherichia coli O157: H7 contamination.
How/When Discovered: An FSIS microbiological traceback sample (of 07/19/00 product) was collected on July 31, 2000, and reported positive for E. coli O157: H7 on August 5, 2000.
