Production Dates/Identifying Codes: Packed on May 3, 2000. The packages bear the code ''5A3 SELL BY Jun 17 2000'' or ''5B3 SELL BY Jun 17 2000'' near the seam of the package and ''EST 403'' appears in the USDA inspection legend.
Problem/Reason for Recall: The product may be contaminated with extraneous material (shiny plastic).
How/When Discovered: Consumer complaints received by the firm were forwarded to FSIS and on June 30, the Health Hazard Evaluation Board determined that a public health hazard associated with this product existed.
